Asbestos removal retirement village in Waikanae

Non-friable asbestos removal – internal asbestos cement walls and ceilings panels, decramastic roof tiles.

Friable asbestos removal –  asbestos paper back vinyl floor.

Project Description

This project included the removal and disposal of the internal asbestos cement walls and ceilings panels from a retirement village in Waikanae. Both the walls and panels contained asbestos, and were part of the stage one works for this retirement village project.

Stage two of our works included the complete removal of two floors containing paperback vinyl asbestos. Stage three commenced immediately afterwards and included decramastic roof tile removal. After the roof tile removal, the client requested to have it weather proofed due to a rainy forecast, so we actioned this weatherproofing straight after final clearance with an independent assessor.
We worked on asbestos removal projects on two properties at same time, which helped to save time because the client wanted to continue with other works as soon as possible.

The chrysotile asbestos removal works on this project were quite last minute, but we were able to accommodate them fairly quickly and completed two houses in just six days.
